S24O anyone?

Anyone up for a group S24O?  I would like to be able to grab a tent and some friends for an evening of biking, beers and a campfire-cooked meal.  In an attempt to make this a family-friendly affair, I don't think that we'd go all that far and we needn't go all that fast -- perhaps a lazy spin to Baker for a night?  If you are interested, scribble in the comment section and we can perhaps get a date and a destination chosen.

Also, the second Friday is coming up and I do believe that we need to meet for beers again (does anyone see a thread here?)  If anyone wants to make Snak Shak's Make-A-Wish happen a second time, lemme know...

Added: OB says Sea Salt is fine, so we'll be there starting at 4:30 or so.  You needn't any more of an invitation than this, so join us one and all, even if you weren't in the thread or at the last one.  Just look for the fat guy with a Big Dummy.

I am definitely in for the beers. As for the s240, I have exactly zero for camping gear these days, so that would be a challenge. Beers are easy though. Name the place and I'll be there. I suggested 4:30 last go 'round but that seems like it was a little early for most people, so perhaps a bit later?

Beers? Didi you say beers? It sounds like a fine idea to me, assuming the new guy can crash the party. I might even be able to convince The Old Bag to show up. So perhaps next Friday, the 11th around 5:00? Beer for Bloggers, yea that's what we need.

I'm in S Mpls, Snak's a bit east of me. Wheelie, darling, what's good for you and OB? I'd suggest Sea Salt again, but something a bit more SLP side (if I gather yer whereabouts) may be possible if that's good. Pete, are you in?

June's here and it's a real shame to be inside. There are a couple of good patios at Lake and Lyndale (It's Greek to Me), Eat Street (Black Forest), Riverside (Craftsman, Longfellow Grill). Calhoun has Tin Fish and I'm sure that I'm missing a favorite, so speak up and suggest something.

Oh damn the distance!!!! LOL
maybe I could pedal down for the weekend?? Yeah, right!! As I write this I'm sitting on break-time at work, as the sun is shining, playing with my head...... Cause ya know it'll start raining at 3:15!! Oh well, hooray for rain gear!!
I plan on taking a bike/camping trip here in the northland before to long, just gotta wait for my OMM rack, and I'll be set. What?? You think I'm working overtime cause I like to be here?? HAA...... HAA......NOT!!!! lol
I hope you guys get a good turn out, and I'll tip one (or two) back with ya in spirit!!!

Peace, Joboo

The 11th is the last day of school for my girls, so I might have to be a dutiful father. But I'll pencil Friday in, if we're not doing anything to mark the occassion.

S24O is intriguing. I'd like to do this, if we can figure something out date-wise. We're already getting close to full booking for summer weekends. Sigh.

Hey -- Friday's my last official day-o-work for the summer, so if there's a drink going on, I'm happy to come hoist one.

Wheel would be coming from Eagan, and I'm likely not commuting that day (the teachers' big tie-one-on is Thurs. night since the last student day is Th.) so Sea Salt would be just fine.

Tin Fish is fun, but sometimes crowded (do they have beer? can't say I've seen it there). I'm fine with other joints as well.

With OB weighing in for Sea Salt -- I guess that settles it. Sea Salt at 4:30 or 5:00. Joe, can you let Jim and Kay know?

I will send them a message. See you at Sea Salt.

Sea Salt it is, hopefully the big project crunch bearing down on me won't delay my arrival but one way or another I'll be there!

So, if it's like THIS all day (90% chance of precip, dark and generally menacing), reschedule?

What a drag!

Yup -- Rain delay. Let's try next week. Spread the word to the Wheeled Wonder...

Will do -- on the other hand, it's not like we'll melt...BUT, sprinkles would be better than hail, etc.

I didn't ride today, steel bike and lightning don't seem like a good combination for my commute, but next week might be tough as I'll be in Columbia Hts. for the afternoon. OB and I are still willing should the weather stay fair so I'll check back for the final word but assume it's off for today unless I read here that others plan to show.

Any news on this? I want to do one of these for sure, it has been way too long.
