A bee in my bonnet
I think I need to rethink this whole wearing a helmet thing. A stinging insect became caught in my bucket and did what stinging insects to best. Not really a recommended way to start your day.
I've ripped my helmet off mid-ride for such an event but have yet to get stung. I did get some welts from some unknown bugs hitting me on some down hills around 50 mph in WI a few weeks back but no stings yet. I suppose I've cursed myself to some tomorrow...
I have a good "bee in the bonnet" story. Something large flew into the vent and stung me a couple years ago. I was about 4m from home so went straight there and starting feeling a bit weird. Before long, my face was bubbling up and my eyes were getting puffy. I've never had a reaction to stings, but this one necessitated an immediate trip to the local quick care office, where they filled me full of benedryl, which knocked me out for 2.5 hrs. It was scary and now I carry an Epipen with me (sometimes). Bee careful out there.
Rather cool site you've got here. Thanx for it. I like such themes and everything that is connected to this matter. I would like to read a bit more soon.

I got a bumble bee in my helmet once. It didn't sting me but was buzzing around making it feel like my whole helmet was vibrating.
Ouch
I've often worried about that . . .
